We will perform an OTA (“Over The Air”) update on all Complete Diagnostics FD remotes. During this update, new functionality will be added regarding the front LEDs of the Complete Diagnostics FD remotes and the update process.
It often happens that when a remote is updating, there has been no clear indication that the remote is performing an update. To solve this problem we introduce the beeper and the blue front LEDs.
A blue front LED and a short beep indicate that the remote is performing an update. It is then important not to disconnect the remote from the car or the internet to prevent the remote from getting stuck in an update.
The update process takes an average of 1-2 minutes (depending on the speed of your internet connection). The length of the update process depends on how regularly you use the remote. It can happen that a remote is updating for a longer period of time because the remote has not been used for a long time. If the update is done correctly, the blue LEDs will return to their original green color.
So if you encounter the blue LEDs and the beeper while using the Complete Diagnostics FD remote, it is important to patiently wait for the update to complete.
