With many vehicles integrating their power steering modules as part of the steering rack assembly, replacing a steering rack can now involve much more than adjusting wheel alignment! When a new power steering rack is fitted the electronic steering assistance modules will require programming and configuring to the vehicle. Please note that some manufaturers require the QR code or barcode information from the steering rack itself, we always advise to take a photo of these labels prior to fitting the replacement part.
Using the Complete Diagnostics remote coding tool, we can programme replacement steering assistance modules/electronic power steering racks to the vehicle without needing to visit the main dealers with the car/van. The very latest DoIP vehicles are also covered by our services ensuring Jaguar Land Rover vehicles and many other brands can still be completed. Any of the required steering angle resets can also be performed if for example you have not needed to replace the entire steering rack assembly.
